Matt Colbert picked up the win for North Muskegon as they beat Reeths-Puffer 8-3 on Monday night in a non-conference clash.

Colbert tossed four innings, allowing no runs while relivers Luke Rop and Shamus Corbett allowed two runs in their combined three innings.

Charlie Branch led North Muskegon with two hits wihle Joe Dupilissis had two RBIs.

Connor Paugh and Trent Reichert each had a hit for the Reeths-Puffer offense.

The Norse are now 14-4 on the season while Reeths-Puffer is 10-6.

KENT CITY 16-13, HESPERIA 1-2 – The Kent City offense was dominant in a doubleheader sweep on Monday.

In Game 1, Webb Longcore led the Eagles with three hits and five RBIs while Tyler Brummel totaled two hits and two RBIs.

Kyler Larson pitched three innings, striking out nine and allowing only one hit.

In Game 2, Zane Kik totaled three hits while Webb Longcore added two doubles.

Bryant Fahling struck out four over three innings.

Kent City is now 9-7 overall and 6-4 in conference play.

MASON COUNTY EASTERN 4-14, PENTWATER 2-2 – The Pentwater baseball team dropped a tough doubleheader on Monday.

In Game 1, the Falcons were tied 2-2 after six innings before surrendering two runs in the seventh inning.

In Game 2, Pentwater gave up 10 runs following the second inning and ultimately were blown out.
