MUSKEGON–The Muskegon Catholic Central girls basketball team cruised past Fruitport on Tuesday evening with a 46-27 win handing the Trojans their 13th consecutive loss of the season.

The Crusaders set the tone immediately jumping out to a 15-7 first quarter lead.

Catholic Central increased that lead to 29-9 by halftime.

Coming out of the halftime break the Crusaders stayed on the gas increasing there lead to 41-19 at the end of the third quarter.

Fruitport held an 8-5 fourth quarter scoring advantage.

Leading the Crusaders offense was Sara Albanese who scored 12 points and Grace Stanforth who pulled down 10 rebounds and scored five points. Carrie Ladd also threw in five points and dished out five assists.

Muskegon Catholic improves to 6-5 overall and will travel to Grand River Prep on Wednesday.

Fruitport falls to 0-13 overall and is set to play host to their rival Spring Lake on Friday.
