MUSKEGON — Mona Shores earned a share of the OK Conference-Green title Friday night with a convincing 65-32 victory over Wyoming in its girls basketball finale.

The Sailors jumped out to a 18-12 lead at the end of the first quarter, and then outscored Wyoming, 17-5 in the second to take a substantial 35-17 lead at the half.

Mona Shores busted loose again offensively and also kept the defensive clamps on Wyoming, and outscored them, 26-4 to race into the fourth period with a 61-21 lead. Wyoming outscored the Sailors, 11-4 in the final eight minutes.

The Sailors close the regular season with a 17-3 record overall and finished the OK Green with a 12-2 ledger with their third straight win.

The Sailors will be back in action on Wednesday, March 2 at the Reeths-Puffer girls district as they will face the Monday winner of the game between Grand Haven and Grand Rapids Union. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
