GRANT –The Fremont girls soccer team went back and forth with the Grant Tigers and escaped with a 3-2 win on Friday evening in CSAA-Gold action.

The Packers kicked off the scoring when Mia Clemence found Trinity Freriks in front of the net, and carried a 1-0 lead through the first half.

Twelve minutes into the second half, Grant’s Carli Fryling netted a goal to tie up the score at 1-1, but Riley Chase quickly responded with a goal for the Packers to put them back on top 2-1.

Fryling wasn’t done testing the Packers and again tied up the game with another goal to knot the score at 2-2.

Chase was also not finished putting points on the board and she managed to score the Packer’s third goal to seal the win.

Goalkeeper Macey Powers made 12 saves in the net for the Packers.
