MUSKEGON — Mona Shores’ baseball team swept a doubleheader from Zeeland West, 10-0 and 5-3, at home Tuesday afternoon.

Jaxon Huffman was the winning pitcher in the opener, going all five innings and striking out nine while giving up just two singles.

Leading hitters included Jason Anderson who had two hits and a run scored, Diego Pena who hit a two-run home run, while Huffman and Bryson Belanger each drove in two runs.

In the second game, Javanni Johnson picked up the win on the mound, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out five. It was his second win in as many outings.

Anderson had three hits to lead the Sailors, including a two-run home run in the first inning. Pena had a hit and a run batted in, Aaron Piaecki had a hit, two walks and six stolen bases.

Mona Shores improved to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in the OK Green Conference.
