NEWAYGO–Bryce Decker’s 30 points sparked Newaygo to a 69-44 victory over Holton on Tuesday night.

The Lions sprinted out of the gate and led 22-14 after the first quarter and 44-23 at halftime. Newaygo never let up. The Lions led 58-32 after three quarters.

Along with Decker’s 30 points, Logan Klomp added six points.

Brodrick Fialek led the Red Devils with 19 points and six rebounds. Carter Brant finished with 12 points and seven assists. Keon McMillan had six points and Chase Albright contributed five rebounds.

“Newaygo has an outstanding team this year,” said Holton coach Keith Swanson. “Decker played another great game.  Thirty points in three quarters is impressive.  We just need to continue to focus on our team defense, as well as our offensive efficiency.”

Newaygo (9-5, 5-1) travels to White Cloud on Friday.

Holton (0-13, 0-6) travels to Ravenna on Friday.
