LUDINGTON — Keelyn Laird and Olivia Lynn combined for 29 points as the Ludington girls’ basketball team continue to roll on.

The Orioles won their fourth straight game with a 50-31 victory over visiting Grant in non-conference action Monday night.

 
Defense again was the key for the Orioles as they outscored the Tigers, 8-4 in the first quarter and 9-4 in the second period for a 17-8 halftime lead.
 
Scoring picked up in the second half, but the Orioles were always in control. They outscored the Tigers, 17-15 in the third quarter to maintain a 34-23 lead heading into the fourth period. They finished with a 16-8 run in the final eight minutes.

Laird led the Orioles with 17 points and Lynn tossed in 12, followed by Karli Meysar and Jenna Skiba with seven each. Emma McKinley scored five.
 
Julie Ashbaugh and Danica Gee led Grant with six points each.
 
The Orioles (9-3) resume West Michigan Conference Lakes Division play next Tuesday at Fremont.
 
Grant (7-4) hosts Ravenna in another non-conference game Tuesday night.
