MUSKEGON — The Muskegon Catholic Crusaders fell victim to some hot shooting from long range on Friday night.
Potters House canned 10 3-points en route to a 67-30 victory over the host Crusaders.
“We struggled with their length and shooting 11-for-55 for the game,” said MCC coach Rob Recknagel, whose team cut the lead to 33-20 in the third quarter but ran out of gas.
“It was a good physical effort tonight against a very good team with great team size,” Recknagel said. “We just struggled mightily to finish plays and make shots and a big part of that was their defensive effort.”
Potters House led 16-5 after one quarter and 33-15 at the half.
Owen Lyonnais led MCC with 10 points. Jake Westhoff had six points and eight rebounds. Hunter Schrink had 11 rebounds.
Muskegon Catholic (6-13, 1-6) takes on Holland Black River and Western Michigan Christian next week to complete the regular-season schedule.
yikes. is that really the headline you want to use? really inappropriate.
LOL, next thing we won’t be able to say ‘so & so shot with 35% accuracy……?’
“shoot the ball” is different than saying “gunned them down,” dumbass.
