NORTON SHORES — It was rough day for the Mona Shores girls’ softball team on Friday against Hudsonville.
 
The host Sailors dropped the first game, 17-3, and the nightcap, 18-2. This week, Hudsonville is ranked No. 2 in the state in Division 1.
 
Grace Michelli went the distance and struck out one while allowing 16 hits. Offensively, Brooklyn Graham went 2-4 with a stolen base and run scored. Maddie Russell and Amelia Pena both had hits with Maggie McCarthy and Michelli scoring runs. 
 
In the second game, Kristen Hylland and Maddie Russell both pitched. Brooklyn Graham and Maddie Russel each had a hit and run scored. Kylie Geoghan had a hit and a pair of stolen bases.
