MUSKEGON–The Muskegon Community College Jayhawk women’s softball team dropped two of three games to Grand Rapids Community College in a weekend series.
 
On Saturday, the Jayhawks won Game 1, 8-3, then dropped the nightcap, 6-5. On Sunday, Grand Rapids CC defeated Muskegon CC, 4-1.
 
On Saturday, Lilli Goodrich pitched seven innings for the Jayhawks and allowed three runs, one of which was earned. She gave up three hit and struck out four
 
Jasmine Pastor was the leading hitter with three hits, four RBI and two runs scored. Brie Pastor had two hits, one RBI and crossed the plate twice. Goodrich helped her own cause with a pair of hits, two RBI and one run.
 
In the second game, Brie Pastor allowed five runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 of work. Cassie Kohnke came on and allowed one run on two hits in 1 1/3 innings. Illeana Hatcher had a hit and scored twice. Morgan Knapp had one hit and two RBI.
 
On Sunday, Goodrich allowed four runs (one earned) in 5 2/3 innings on the mound. She gave up five hits and five walks with three strikeouts.
 
Kohnke and and Brooklyn Galdeen each had a hit. Kohnke knocked in the lone run and Galdeen scored the lone run for the Jayhawks.
