The Fremont Packers brought out the big bats on Tuesday and swept the Orchard View Cardinals in a baseball doubleheader.

The Packers won the opener, 13-4, and the nightcap, 10-2.

In the first game, Owen Vandenberg had four hits for the Packers, including two doubles. Ben Mellema had three hits while Paxton Borgman and Gabe VanVleet had two hits and two RBI each.

Noah Smith had two hits and Curtis Scott had a double for OV.

In the second game, Levi Wimmer had three hits to lead Fremont’s offense. Blake Zerlaut, Carl Vliem and Hayden Threat each on a double and a single.

Fremont took the early lead in the game with three runs in the first and four in the second.

Scott and Smith each had two hits for the Cardinals. Smith had a double.
