Mona Shores earns split of softball doubleheader with Forest Hills Central

 

The Mona Shores Sailors earned a victory in Game 2 of Thursday’s doubleheader and gained a split with Forest Hills Central.

 

Forest Hills won the opener, 14-12, and Mona Shores came back with a 13-7 victory in the nightcap.

 

In the opener, Brooklyn Graham had five hits, including a pair of home runs. Maddie Russell added three hits and Kyli Geoghan swiped three bases.

 

Kristen Hylland pitched four innings and struck out five. Grace Michelli came on in relief.

 

In the second game, Maddie Russell was the winning pitcher for Mona Shores.

 

Kyli Geoghan and Hannah Geoghan each had three hits. Mia Geoghan added two.

 

Shores’ record is 11-10 overall, 7-1 in conference play.
