KENT CITY –The Kent City volleyball team overtook CSAA Conference foe Newaygo in four sets on Wednesday evening.

The Eagles came out on top 26-24, 17-25, 25-14 and 25-15.

Cailynn Hartzell contributed 39 assists with three aces while Maddie Geers had 18 digs, 17 kills and a pair of blocks. Denyle Bonter and Hannah Stellini chipped in eight and seven kills, respectively. Kaden Perkins added 25 digs defensively.

Kent City (11-6-1, 2-0) will be at Morley Stanwood on Tuesday in league play.

Newaygo hosts the Newaygo County Invitational on Saturday.
