MUSKEGON–The Reeths-Puffer boys cross country team had a successful day on Tuesday afternoon as they finished in second place in the OK Conference-Green Jamboree.

Zeeland West took the top spot with 32 points while the Rockets were a distant runner-up with 61 points. Mona Shores finished in the fifth spot with 131 points while Muskegon brought was last with 254 points.

The top runner for the Rockets was junior Kye Grant, who finished with a time of 17:12.26 which was good enough for second place behind Holland’s Noah Lambers, who finished in 16:39.68.

Senior Jaxon Allen came in sixth place for Reeths-Puffer. Other top runners for the Rockets were Tate Bradley with a ninth-place finish, while sophomore Jake Yonkman came in 22nd place and junior Jamie Neel finished in 32nd place.

The top runner for Mona Shores was senior Will Parsekian, who came in 11th place with a time of 18:33.05. Other top runners for the Sailors were senior Collin Khatir (31st), sophomore Eli Lewis (36th), senior Aidan Kreps (44th) and sophomore Cole Hansen finished in the 48th spot.

The top runner for Muskegon was freshman Tyson Worthington, who finished in 80th place.

In the girl’s division, the Mona Shores Sailors finished in third place with 96. Zeeland East claimed the top spot with 24, while cross-town rival Zeeland West came in second place with 57. Reeths-Puffer ended up with a final score of 102, which was good enough for fifth place.

The top runners for Mona Shores included junior Logan Clausen (11th), sophomore Ellery Horness (18th), sophomore Ella Grimm (22nd), junior Diamond Madison (25th) and sophomore Kendall Braginton (27th).

The top runner for Reeths-Puffer was sophomore Jersi Bilek, who came in sixth place with a time of 21:03.42. Other top runners for the Rockets included freshman Gabrielle Chevez (14th), freshman Darcy Keefe (24th) and junior Adrienne Fluette (31st).
