NORTON SHORES – The Mona Shores volleyball team put an exclamation point on their strong regular season with a big victory on Thursday.

The Sailors went 3-0 in a quad match with wins against Cedar Springs (25-12, 25-7), Allendale (23-25, 25-16, 15-8) and Ludington (25-18, 25-14).

Grace Allen had 21 kills, 16 digs and two blocks, while Kyann Hellmann chipped in 62 assists, 18 digs, five kills and three blocks. Jersey VanderWall had 12 kills and seven blocks.

Izzy Sturtevant made 39 digs. Skyler MachLachlan and Laynie Russell added 11 and nine kills, respectively. 

Mona Shores (36-5, 9-1) will open the Division 1 district tournament at Grand Haven on Monday. The Sailors are slated to take on Muskegon.
