ALLENDALE – The boys and girls cross country teams from Western Michigan Christian both will be running in the Division 4 state finals next weekend.
 
The girls captured the regional title on the strength of a first-place finish by Grace Vanderkooi and their other four runners all finishing in the top 11 runners.
 
WM Christian finished the day with 34 points. Gobles was second with 45 and Saugatuck was third with 45. Muskegon Catholic had four runners and Holton had one so they did not qualify as a team.
 
The Warrior boys finished second to Holland Calvary Christian, which came in with 39 points. WMC finished second with 53 points and was led by a 1-2 finish by junior Matthias Morse and Graeson Lawrence.
 
Muskegon Catholic finished fifth with 119 points and Holton was 10th at 289.
