NORTON SHORES – The Mona Shores boys’ basketball team routed Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills 81-52 on Friday.

The Sailors set the tone early and used a strong defensive effort to seal the win.

Jordan Bledsoe had 20 points and five assists, while Jonathan Pittman posted a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds. Landyn Smith had a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and three blocks.

Ryan Opsommer contributed a well-rounded effort with five points, five steals and five rebounds.

Mona Shores (2-0) will travel to Rockford on Tuesday.
