FRUITPORT – The Fruitport boys basketball team overtook Western Michigan Christian on Friday.

The Trojans jumped to a 31-18 lead by the half and maintained the lead and won, 58-41.

Hudson Hazekamp led the scoring with 12 points, while Ryan Bosch and Grade Anspach each chipped in 11 points. Do’Syne Williams scored nine points and Kyle Burke added eight points.

The Warriors’ Ben Moorhead posted eight points and Eli Malek recorded seven points.

Fruitport (1-0) will travel to Fruitport Calvary Christian on Tuesday.

Western Michigan Christian will host to McBain Northern Michigan Christian on Tuesday.
