HOLLAND – The Mona Shores girls basketball team opened the season with a tough loss to West Ottawa on Tuesday evening.
The Sailors fell, 49-22.
Khaleeya Cook and Laynie Russell scored five points apiece.
Mona Shores (0-1) will travel to Allendale on Friday.
