The Reeths-Puffer boys’ basketball squad won a tight, low-scoring contest against Grand Haven on Friday night by a 38-34 margin.

The Rockets trailed 8-7 at the end of the first quarter, led 12-11 at halftime and had a 28-26 advantage going into the final stanza before closing the game on a 10-8 run.

Marvin Moore led Reeths-Puffer with 15 points, while Jaxson Whitaker scored eight and Travis Ambrose had six. Brayden Mitchelson chipped in with six points and nine rebounds.

Gus Abraham led Grand Haven with 11 points while Jacob Derenne added 10.

The Rockets are now 2-0 overall on the season, while the Bucs are 1-2.
