Reeths-Puffer’s girls handed big loss against Holt at Aquinas tournament

GRAND RAPIDS – The Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team took a tough loss in the West Michigan Hoop Summit at Aquinas College on Saturday. 

The Rockets were run over in a 62-30 loss against Holt.

Despite warming up on offense after a cold opening quarter, the Rockets were ultimately down 40-28 after three quarters.

Brooklyn Tornes led the Rockets with 12 points and Irelyn Niklasch scored seven points. Ashlyn David posted six rebounds.

Reeths-Puffer (0-5) will be at home on Tuesday, Jan. 2 against Jenison.
