FREMONT – The Fremont girls basketball team capped off their week with 65-18 rout of Ravenna on Thursday.

“Our pressure defense created a lot of turnovers and good looks at the basket,” said Fremont coach Pete Zerfas. “When we were not getting to the basket, we had our best shooting night from outside, hitting 10 of 27 3-point shots.” 

Taylor DeKuiper had a career night with 16 points, five rebounds and five steals, while Eliana VandenBerg had a career-high 12 points and five steals. Khaila Noordyk chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds.

Riley Chase scored 10 points and snagged six steals and Mia Clemence added six points and five assists. Katie Ackerman contributed five steals and five assists. 

Fremont (8-2, 4-0) will be at Ludington on Tuesday for a showdown in the WMC-Lakes Division

Ravenna (3-6, 1-3) will host Holton on Tuesday for a WMC-Rivers game.
