HUDSONVILLE – The Grand Haven girls basketball team stayed perfect on the season and tallied a win in the OK Conference-Red opener on Friday.

The Bucs topped Hudsonville, 59-41.

The Bucs grabbed the lead early with a 35-19 lead by halftime and never looked back. 

Emersen Berndt led all scorers with 18 points. Gillian Sorrelle scored 15 points and made six assists, while Mallory Woiteshek had 10 points and nine rebounds. Kendall Gillis contributed two steals on the evening.

Grand Haven (8-0, 1-0) will travel for a conference contest against Division 1 defending state champion Rockford on Tuesday.
