An evening celebrating and honoring local athletes is coming up on Saturday, Feb. 17 at The Frauenthal Theater in downtown Muskegon.
The evening includes sports awards, live music, sports skits, food and door prizes … all for the price of $20.
We know $20 is how much people are required to pay for a crummy chicken sandwich these days, but Local Sports Journal wants folks involved in the world’s greatest local sports scene in a family atmosphere.
Doors open at 5:15 with Vincent Hayes and The Port City All-Stars blues band kicking off the show at 6 p.m.
Select Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame members are slated to be present in the Frauenthal lobby. If you’ve ever wanted to ask a question of one of the area’s sports heroes from years gone by, this is your chance to do just that and even get their autograph.
If you’re hungry … yes, there will be food catered by Teddy’s Spaghetti. BBQs at the opening and a dessert at intermission.
There are plenty of door prizes too like a coveted week-long trip to California for one lucky attendee and a guest of their choice. Two airline tickets and lodging are included with the prize.
Langlois has also ratcheted up the prize closet with a La-Z-Boy recliner and MOTIV bowling is giving away two bowling balls. There also will be gift cards to area businesses awarded throughout the evening.
This is a night celebrating local athletes you don’t want to miss.
