Mona Shores splits wrestling double-dual with a victory over Spring Lake, loss to Reeths-Puffer

SPRING LAKE – The Mona Shores wrestling team fought to a 1-1 split at a double-dual on Wednesday.

The Sailors took down host Spring Lake, 45-28, but fell to Reeths-Puffer, 52-24.

Peyton Peterson (285), Mario Curiel (113) and Erik Davidson (144) posted 2-0 records at the meet.

Daylan Vorgias (165), Jordan Mackey (190), Anthony Nash (215), Mason Courson (126), Anthony Cage (132), Gavin Claycomb (138) and Brody Faught (150) each earned a victory.

Mona Shores will compete in the GMAA city tournament at Muskegon High School on Saturday.
