PENTWATER — Hot shooting from 3-point range powered the White Cloud boys’ basketball team past the Pentwater Falcons, 71-33 in non-conference action Thursday night in Pentwater.
Scoring was close in the first quarter until the Indians drained a number of triples to finish with an 18-10 advantage. White Cloud rolled up a 19-6 scoring edge in the second and bolted to a 37-16 halftime lead.
White Cloud buried the Falcons with a 26-8 third quarter that expanded its already insurmountable lead to a whopping 63-24 going into the fourth period.
Jayden Robinson had a game-high 17 points to pace the Indians, while Kevin Strait with 16 and Noah Robinson added 10.
Mikey Carlson recorded a double-double with 14 points and rebounds to lead Pentwater. Trey Johnson followed with six points.
The Indians improved to 8-2 and will be at Manistee Catholic Friday for another non-conference game.
Pentwater dropped to 6-2 overall and will step back onto the court tonight at Mason County Eastern for a West Michigan D League contest.
