Long knocks down 26, Newaygo tops 80 points in victory over Tri-County

Josiah Long scored 26 points to lead the Newaygo boys’ basketball team to a high-scoring 81-76 win over Tri-County on Friday night.

Logan Klomp added 16 points while pulling down eight rebounds and dishing out four assists for the Lions. Blake Kerr had 15 points and six rebounds.

Caris Nelson contributed with a double-double, scoring 12 points along with dishing out 10 assists.

The Lions knocked down 12 shots from beyond the 3-point line.
