MUSKEGON – The Oakridge girls basketball team, led by a double-double performance by Anna Lundquist, made a fourth-quarter comeback and took down Newaygo, 46-38, on Monday night.

The Lions led 30-25 going into the fourth quarter, but the Eagles went on a run of 21-8 to gain control and earn the victory.

“Great defense and rebounding in the fourth quarter is what gave us the edge going down the final stretch,” said Oakridge Saxon Smith. “It was a good team effort and win.”

Lundquist ended the night with 17 points and pulled down a whopping 23 rebounds. Kaelinn Jozsa added 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Cambria Guendhardt threw in nine points.

The Lions’ Amaya Lathrop scored 12 points, snagged five steals and made three assists. Addison Goodin contributed six points and 10 rebounds.

Oakridge (5-13, 2-8) will be at home against Ravenna on Tuesday.

Newaygo (9-9, 3-6) hosts Shelby on Wednesday.
