HOLTON – The North Muskegon girls basketball team took down Holton, 41-31, in WMC-Rivers play on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils’ Ryann Robins, a four-year starter, had a big night as she became the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,011 total points. She closed out the night with a double-double of 15 points and 20 rebounds.

“Robins has been steadily chipping away at this thing 10 to 15 points at a time over the last few years,” said Holton coach Robert Jordan. “She is a great kid and I’m super happy for her and this accomplishment because it’s a big deal”

The teams were mostly neck-and-neck throughout the night, but the Norse scored off second-chance points over a three-minute stretch in the third quarter that was the difference.

North Muskegon (11-7, 6-4) will take a trip to Saugatuck on Tuesday.

Holton (12-7, 4-5) will host Manistee on Monday.
