NORTH MUSKEGON – The No. 2 state-ranked North Muskegon boys’ quest for perfection continued with a 57-38 win against White Cloud on Monday night.

“The first quarter and first half were pretty tight, both teams got some easy ones,” said North Muskegon coach Charles Rypstra. “After halftime, we played a similar third quarter with a narrow advantage.”

The Norse held just a 25-20 first-half lead and had a two-point scoring advantage in the third quarter. They were able to put away the game with a 19-8 scoring advantage in the final quarter.

“In the fourth quarter, we were able to create a little bit of space to get the win,” Rypstra said.

Adam Dugener led all scorers with 18 points for the Norse, while James Young chipped in 10 points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals. Jaxon Lisinski added 10 points. TJ Byard scored eight points, grabbed four rebounds and had three assists.

The Indians’ KJ Strait scored 16 points and Jayden Robinson had 12 points.

North Muskegon (19-0, 9-0) will see WMC-Rivers play when they travel to Shelby on Tuesday.
