HESPERIA – After a tight opening quarter, the North Muskegon Norsemen made quick work of the Shelby Tigers in a Division 3 semifinal matchup on Wednesday night.

The Norsemen came out on top 65-29 and advanced to Friday’s district title game against White Cloud.

NM led 15-14 after one quarter, but then went on a tear that produced the one-sided victory. By the half, North Muskegon (23-0) led 34-21.

By the end of the third, they owned a 48-24 advantage.

The Norsemen were led by Jaxon Lisinski, who scored 18 points to go along with four steals and four assists. Adam Dugener accounted for 17 points and Lamarkis Graham tallied 12 points and three assists.

Shelby’s top scorer was Phillip Hayes with 13 points. Wyatt Dickman chipped in six points. The Tigers finished their season with a 5-19 record.
