Second-half struggles cost Grant in CSAA tournament loss to Reed City

REED CITY – The Grant boys’ basketball team struggled to score in the second half and fell to Reed City, 60-41, in the first round of the CSAA tournament on Monday night.

The Tigers trailed 29-23 at the halftime break, but went on to be outscored 31-18 over the second half.

Lucas Swanson and Zaiden Phillips led Grant with seven points apiece. Blake Rider scored six points and Ethan DeLong added five points.

Grant (13-6, 8-3) will be at White Cloud on Wednesday for the next round of the conference tournament.
