GRANDVILLE – The North Muskegon softball team split the evening against Grandville Calvin Christian on Monday.
Braedi Baker helped lead the Norse to a 5-3 win as she struck out 12 batters. Baker surrendered eight hits, three runs and a walk over seven innings.
Audrey Brown posted a solo home run, while Lauren Dahlquist had two RBI and went 1-3 at the plate. Madison Balon scored one run and hit a double.
In game two, the Norse fell 6-3. Balon threw five innings before the game was called for darkness. Balon gave up seven hits, six runs (three earned) and struck out four.
North Muskegon is set to play at Fruitport on Tuesday.
