TRAVERSE CITY – Fruitport baseball pushed its win streak to four games with a twin-bill sweep over Traverse City Central on Friday.

The Trojans won Game 1, 3-0, and breezed through the nightcap, 10-4.

Satchel Norwood was on the mound in the opener and gave up two hits, three walks and struck out five batters in seven innings.

Brady French and Braxton Ward each had an RBI single.

In game two, Avery Lambers struck out 11 and allowed six hits, two runs, and one walk.

Christian Kennedy and French had three hits apiece. Trevor Rusnak, Rickey Wiggins and Flynn each had a pair of hits.

“It’s been a productive week and a lot of different players are stepping up and making a difference,” said Fruitport coach Nick Reed. “The boys are really playing complementary baseball and executing.”

Fruitport (8-6) will travel to Hudsonville Unity Christian on Thursday.
