Garcia highlights Shelby baseball sweep with no-hitter on the mound

SHELBY – The Shelby baseball team had a dominating doubleheader sweep against Bear Lake on Friday.

The Tigers blanked Bear Lake in the opener, 15-0, and won the nightcap, 18-3.

Lalo Garcia threw a no-hitter on the mound in the first game. Eli Kelley had two hits and two RBI, while Dayday Garcia and Garrin Waller each earned two RBI.

In the second game, Dayday Garcia struck out seven batters and gave up two walks. He also had two hits and four RBI at the plate. Waller chipped in three RBI.

Shelby (2-0) will travel to Mason County Central on Tuesday.
