HAMILTON – The Reeths-Puffer team continued its strong season with a dominating first-place finish at the Hamilton tournament on Saturday.

The Rockets opened with a 13-0 rout against Lakewood then defeated Kalamazoo Christian 12-5. In the title game, the Rockets knocked off previously undefeated Hamilton, 10-0.

In the first game, Mady Snyder gave up two hits and struck out five batters. Aubrey Clark, Abbie Critchett and Lainey McDaniel had two singles apiece. Snyder threw in one single, one double and four RBI, while Natalie Kunnen had a double. Jesi Bilek and Kaylee Jones each had a single.

In the victory over Kalamazoo Christian, Kyleigh Bilek struck out three on the mound.

The offense was highlighted by a home run, single and double from Kunnen. Brook Buchan added two singles, while Critchett and McDaniel had a single and a double each. Jones had a triple.

The Rockets then handed Hamilton its first loss of the season in the championship game.

McDaniel threw a perfect game and struck out eight batters.

Kunnen smacked her second homer of the day and added a single. McDaniel had three singles, while Megan Barmes, Jersi Bilek and Kyleigh Bilek chipped in two singles apiece. Snyder had one single and a double.

Reeths-Puffer (12-0-1) will be at home on Monday for a doubleheader with Holton.
