In a battle to the very end, the Mona Shores boys’ lacrosse team dropped a 10-7 decision to Hudsonville on Thursday.

The game featured multiple ties and lead changes, but it was Hudsonville that prevailed at the end.

“Hudsonville capitalized on some man-up advantages and unforced turnovers,” said Sailor coach Murle Greer. “Our shooting percentage continues to be in the low 20s as well. All of these aspects contributed to the loss.”

Ezra Carefelle and Cullen Conrad each scored a pair of goals. Carefelle also had two assists. Dylan Fett, Micah Carefelle and Gavin Collins each scored a goal for Shores.

Goalies Matt Tallman and Ben Warren split time in net and combined for 12 saves.

The Sailors will host Reeths-Puffer at 4 p.m. Saturday in the annual Lumbertown Lax Jame. All levels of lacrosse between the programs will compete throughout the day. The action begins at 9 a.m.
