MUSKEGON – The Muskegon Community College Jayhawk softball team racked up 25 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Delta Community College on Friday.
 
The Jayhawks won the opener, 13-9, and the nightcap, 12-1.
 
In the first game, Jasmine Pastor led the offense with four hits, including a home run. She had two RBI and scored twice. Illeana Hatcher also had a home run among her two hits. She also had a double and knocked in three runs. Brooklyn Galdeen had two hits, one a home run, and four RBI. Willo  Stall had two hits, including a triple, two RB and scored twice.
 
Lilli Goodrich (2 innings) and Galdeen (5 innings) combined to keep the Delta offense in check.
 
In the second game, Pastor again the led way with a home run, a double and a single. She knocked in four runs. Galdeen belted a home run and a single. She had three RB. Rachel Romero had two doubles among her three hits and Olive Staal had a pair of hits, including a double.
 
Galdeen was the winning pitcher. She allowed one run on two hits and struck out three in five innings.
 
MCC (20-8) travels Delta Saturday for a doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m.
