North Muskegon wins opener, loses second game at Byron Center round-robin baseball event

BYRON CENTER – The North Muskegon baseball team went 1-1 at The Round Robin Invitational on Saturday.

The Norse opened with a 7-1 win over Holland Christian then dropped an 8-3 decision to host Byron Center.

Jaxon Bean gave up five hits, one run, two walks and struck out 10 batters in six innings.

TJ Byard had two hits, one run and an RBI, while Logan Slimko added two hits and a run. Delora chipped in one hit, one run and an RBI.

In the second game, Delora allowed four hits, three walks and struck out eight batters over six innings.

Delora also had two hits, one a double, scored one run, and knocked in a run. Slimko had two hits and an RBI. Kylan Nielsen added one hit and one RBI.

North Muskegon will be at Ravenna on Tuesday for a West Michigan Conference doubleheader.
