MUSKEGON – The Oakridge baseball team fell short in a twinbill sweep against Sault St. Marie at the historic Marsh Field on Saturday.

The Eagles fell 13-11 and 5-4.

Brody Jennings had four hits, while Evan Miller and Michael Wambaugh each had two hits and three RBI. 

Jennings took the loss at the mound.

Game two was a battle before the Eagles fell in a one-run decision.

The Eagles led 3-0 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, but Sault St. Marie rallied. Both teams traded the lead over the next two innings.

Miller and Brayden Cunningham had two hits apiece. Zac Cribbins scored a pair of runs.

Oakridge visits Whitehall on Tuesday.
