LUDINGTON — Ravenna’s girls softball team made the trip to Ludington well worth it Friday with a 15-1, five-inning victory over the Orioles.

Pacing the Bulldogs’ offense were Reese Herremans who was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a double, Sydney Morrissey who was 2-for-3 and Emma Herremans stroked out a triple.

Also collecting single hits for the Bulldogs were Addison Gillard, Emily Postema, Taylor Nutt and Riley Homoly.

Homoly picked up the win in the pitcher’s circle for Ravenna. She scattered two hits and struck out seven.

Ludington’s Jody Meisenheimer pitched the first 2 2/3 innings before being relieved by Olivia Parsons. Meisenheimer returned to finish the game and gave up eight hits combined and two walks.

Keeley Curtis led the Orioles at the plate, batting 2-for-2.

Ravenna improved to 12-4 overall and next hosts Hesperia in the West Michigan Conference Rivers Division on Tuesday.

Ludington fell to 1-16 on the season and travels to Whitehall next Tuesday.
