Sophomore Jarvis Walker scored 11 of his game-high 23 points in the second quarter, leading the Mona Shores boys basketball team to a 66-60 non-league victory over Muskegon Catholic on Tuesday.

MCC led 18-11 after one quarter, but the Sailors outscored the Crusaders 23-12 in the second quarter and 27-12 in the third. Mona Shores had to hold off a late MCC charge to preserve the victory.

Walker added five rebounds, five steals and three assists to his totals. James Gilbert had 18 points and eight rebounds, Tyrese Allen chipped added eight points while Jacob Dunn grabbed six rebounds for Mona Shores.

Jared Dugener paced Muskegon Catholic with 14 points while Andre Watson added 13 points. Seth Arends chipped in 12 points and Sam Novotony scored nine for the Crusaders.
