The Spring Lake boys basketball team remained unbeaten in Lakes 8 Conference play with an easy 63-22 victory over a shorthanded Orchard View squad on Friday.LSJ Logo incert

The Lakers are now 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the conference. Orchard View, which dressed only six players, fell to 2-6 and 1-3.

Keegan George paced the Lakers (6-2, 4-0) with 17 points while Sam Johnson added 10 points.

The Cardinals (2-6, 1-3) were led by Edriese Jenkins with nine points.

LUDINGTON 46, FRUITPORT 35 – Ludington jumped out to a 25-9 first half lead and was never challenged in the Lakes 8 contest. Noah Laman led the Orioles (5-4, 3-1) with 11 points and eight rebounds while the Trojans (4-5, 2-2) were paced by Zac Miller with 15 points.

O-K BLACK

ZEELAND EAST 73, REETHS-PUFFER 30 – After trailing just 15-11 after one quarter, the Rockets couldn’t keep up with the Chix, who outscored them 58-19 the rest of the way.  Zeeland East was led by Ben Riksema with 15 points and Chris Abel with 13. Armund Gordon had a double-double – 10 points and 12 rebounds – for Reeths-Puffer – while DeAirrus Ware scored seven points.

O-K RED 

GRAND HAVEN 65, ROCKFORD 40 – Grand Haven used a dominating effort to pick up an O-K Red Conference win. Ross Koella paced the Buccaneers (8-3, 2-1) with 13 points.
