The Muskegon Risers rallied from an early deficit, took a brief lead late in the game, then settled for a 3-3 tie against Cincinnati Swerve Academy on Saturday in a road contest.

The Risers are now 2-2-2 in the Premier Arena Soccer League with two games left in the regular season. Those games will be Friday and Saturday at L.C. Walker Arena.

The Swerve opened the scoring with 47 seconds remaining in the first quarter.

Muskegon’s Miguel Flores scored 1:02 into the second quarter, with an assist from Kody Harrell, to tie the score 1-1 at halftime.

Cincinnati pulled ahead with a goal midway through the third quarter, then the Risers made it 2-2 with a goal from Jake Rajewski (with an assist from Flores) just a minute later.

The Risers gained a 3-2 lead when Noah Hendricks scored with 8:41 left in the contest. But Cincinnati pulled its goalkeeper late in the contest for an extra attacker, and the strategy paid off when the Swerve scored the tying goal with 2:47 remaining.

Next weekend’s season finale will include unique PASL doubleheaders each night, featuring four different teams.

On Friday, the Risers will face Detroit Waza Flo at 7 p.m., then Waza Flo will play Cincinnati at 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Waza Flo will play the Cleveland Legacy at 5 p.m., then the Risers will play Cincinnati at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $5 both nights, and are good for all games.
