Jayhawk women use strong third quarter to pull away from Grand Rapids

The Muskegon Community College womens basketball team defeated Grand Rapids Community College 69-56 on Wednesday night.

After leading 18-17 after one quarter, Muskegon extended its lead to 36-30 at halftime. In the third quarter, Muskegon continued to pull away leading to a 60-45 advantage after three quarters.

Elysia Mattos led the Jayhawks with 30 points while Delaney Bolles added a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Artrese Williams added 12 points for Muskegon.

With the win, Muskegon improves to 2-1 in conference play.
