The Whitehall tennis team took first place on Saturday with 14 points, outpacing DeWitt with four points, Portland with four points and Central with zero points.

Jackson Vanbergen (No.1 singles), Ashton Trinka (No.2 singles) and River Morrison (No.3 singles) all swept their flights for the Vikings.

Also picking up wins for Whitehall were the teams of Austin Groeneveld and Ryan Findorff (No.1 doubles), Evan Luce and Christian Smolen (No.2 doubles), Christopher Mark and Luke Derose (No.3 doubles) and the team of Aiden Raymond and Steven Cullen (No.4 doubles).

Spring Lake Finishes Seventh – The Spring Lake tennis team competed in the East Kentwood Invitational on Saturday and placed seventh overall with six points.

Winning players for the Lakers were Callum Saxe (No.1 singles), Teddy Hylant (No.4 singles) AJ Dalman and Dawson Sherman (No.1 doubles), Jackson Der Vartanian and Ian Brown (No.2 doubles), Grant Kieft and Sean Bennink (No.3 doubles), and the team of Kyle Powers and Mason De Vries (No.4 doubles).

Mona Shores Has Rough Weekend – The Mona Shores tennis team went 0-7 on the weekend while taking part in a tournament in Traverse City on Friday and a tournament in Holland on Saturday.

On Friday, Mona Shores lost to Traverse City West 8-0, Mattawan 8-0, Forest Hills Northern 8-0 and Hudsonville 6-2.

On Saturday, Mona Shores lost to Holland Christian 7-2, Grand Rapids Christian 7-2 and Haslett 6-3.

Lydia Sowles and Brady Whalen (No.3 doubles) swept their flight on Saturday for Mona Shores.
