The Montague football team rolled to their fourth straight win to open the season with a big 64-6 win over Hart on Friday. The Wildcats (4-0) outscored the Pirates (1-3) 23-0 in the first quarter, led 58-0 at the half and 64-0 at the end of the third.

The Wildcats struck first with 5:16 to play in the first on a touchdown pass from Drew Collins to Logan Metcalf for a 32-yard score and a 7-0 lead. Montague added a safety two minutes later to lead 9-0.

Collins ran in touchdown from four yards out with 3:32 to play in the first. Johnny Monette tacked on a three-yard score to make it 23-0 with 1:40 remaining in the opening quarter.

Monette scored his second touchdown, from four yards out, just seven seconds into the second quarter, making it 30-0.

Collins and Metcalf connected for their second touchdown from four yards out with 8:43 left before the half. Collins then threw a 51-yard touchdown to Brennan Schwarz at the 6:25 mark to make it 44-0.

A 30-yard run by Dylan Everett extended the lead to 51-0. Collins hit Tugg Nichols for a 15-yard touchdown to close out the first half scoring and put the Wildcats up 58-0.

Nichols ran in a nine-yard touchdown for the only score of the third quarter to Montague up 64-0.

Hart got on the scoreboard with 9:35 to play on a 16-yard touchdown run by Breaden Carskadon.

Collins led the Wildcat offense, going 13-18 for 310 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Everett was the leading rusher, totaling 78 yards on eight carries. Brennan Schwarz hauled in four catches for 143 yards, while Logan Metcalf caught three balls for 91 yards.

Carskadon threw for 36 yards and rushed for 22. Thomas Tanner had 23 yards rushing and Leo McCully had 38 yards receiving.
