Muskegon Catholic cruises past Holland Black River and Holland Calvary in a volleyball tri-match

The Muskegon Catholic Central volleyball team posted a 2-0 record on Tuesday in a tri-match.

The Crusaders beat Holland Black River by scores of 25-18 and 25-19, and then defeated Holland Calvary by scores of 26-24 and 25-12.

Calvin’Nae Simmons led MCC with 10 kills while Erin LaVigne added nine. Claire LaVigne chipped in with 32 assists.

The Crusaders were paced defensively by Caitlyn Fodrocy with 29 digs to go along with her five aces.

MCC is now 16-19 overall on the season.
