The Fruitport girls bowling team finished runner-up on Saturday in the Rocket Invite at Northway Lanes.

The Trojans defeated Ludington in match play before falling to Mona Shores in the finals.

Jessica Plichta led Fruitport with a ninth place finish, scoring a game-high 179.

Kalli Lockhart scored 177 followed by Avery Wilks with 163, Kennadi Dykstra with 157, Raegan Dykstra with 149 and Oakleigh Chase with 133.

FRUITPORT BOYS FALL IN SEMI-FINALS – The Fruitport boys defeated Reeths-Puffer in match play before falling to Ravenna in the semifinals of the Rocket Invite.

Jon Wildey finished fifth overall with a score of 244 while Cameron Weaver finished seventh with a score of 236.

Rounding out the Fruitport scores were Jray Conklin with 225, Mayson Whitlow with 199 and Zander Leonard with 164.

GRAND HAVEN BOYS FINISH RUNNER-UP – The Grand Haven boys bowling team finished second in the Rocket Invite on Saturday, defeating Orchard View and Mona Shores before falling to Ravenna in the finals.

Nate Allen finished first in the tournament with a series score of 671 while Colin Prokopec finished sixth with a score of 610.

Justin Strait score a 584 series while Jaxon Batka scored 542.

GRAND HAVEN GIRLS FINISH FOURTH – The Grand Haven girls bowling team lost in its opening match play contest against Mona Shores, finishing fourth on the day.

Alexis Thompson led all girls on the day with a series score of 674 while Alexis Morgan placed 10thoverall with a score of 476.
