Western Michigan Christian dominated Lakes 8 Conference foe Manistee 11-1 Tuesday night. The Warriors offense smacked out 16 hits in the effort.

Mason Goorman led the way with three hits and five RBI. Jarred Olsen also collected three hits, while Cole Crabtree had two hits and an RBI.

Sam Sipe picked up the win on the mound, tossing 4.1 innings allowing one run on four hits and striking out three. 

The Warriors improve to 6-9 overall and 5-4 in conference play. 

O-K BLUE

FRUITPORT 11, ALLENDALE 3 — Cody Matuz drove in five runs as the Trojans took the final game of a three game set with Allendale in O-K Blue conference action.

Gavin Reames picked up the win on the mound, turning in 6 ⅔ innings allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out three batters. Reames and Blake Hronek chipped in at the plate with a pair of hits, and a pair of RBI’s. Aaron Sander finished the evening with two hits as well. In addition to his five RBI’s Matuz picked up two hits.

WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 6-19, MANISTEE 0-7 (Wednesday) — The Warriors picked up a double header sweep of Lakes 8 conference rival Manistee on Wednesday night.

In Game 1, Cole Crabtree pitched a complete game allowing no runs on three hits, while striking out seven hitters. Sam Liggett led the offense with three hits and four RBI’s, while Caleb Kozal picked up three hits.

In Game 2, Mason Goorman picked up the win, allowing six earned runs on six hits while striking out five hitters. Liggett led the offense again, picking up three hits and four RBI’s. Jonathan Clausing chipped in with a pair of hits, and two RBI’s.
